We just got home tonight from a typical Thai experience. We went down to the walking market (which is only on Sundays) and got an hour and a half foot, arm, head, face, and shoulder massage. Let's just say I am getting sore already! I have a love-hate relationship with these massages. They feel very good and are very relaxing; however, they can also be painful. They find muscles that hurt that you didn't even know hurt.

I realize that I have not written since my trip over here. It feels like I have already been here a long time. I feel like I am still trying to get over jet lag though. I have heard that it takes one day for each time zone you travel (that would mean I should be over it by now though). On Friday I was dropped off at home at noon so I could sleep that afternoon (work just wasn't working when I couldn't keep my eyes open). I woke up at 5, was up for a few hours, and then went back to bed. I think the semester winding down, getting used to the heat, and jet lag have all made me so tired these past two weeks.

I have gone into the office every weekday except one. As of right now, I am going through past books and looking to see if anything needs to be fixed. I love accounting, but sitting there going through journal entries from past years isn't the most exciting thing ever!

Even though it has only been two weeks, I do miss being home. I am coming to realize how long 2 and a half months really is. It is a long time to be away from my roommate, and it is also a long time to be with my parents. After being on my own for several years, it is hard for me to spend so much time together at once. However, I do enjoy seeing them!

One thing I have noticed about Asia is the constant feeling of chaos. Wherever we go, I feel like there is stuff everywhere. There doesn't feel to be a organized plan for building roads or buildings. Wherever there is room they will put something. The driving also adds to the chaotic feeling. So many cars and motorcycles. Driving in the middle of two lanes, starting to go through a light before it turns green, and backing up in the middle of the road are just several things that make it crazy driving!

I have been terrible about pulling out my camera and taking pictures. I have decided the newer and stranger something is to you, the more pictures you will take. Since this is my fourth trip to Thailand, it isn't as different to me. I guess that is why I am not taking as many pictures. Hopefully I can change that soon! Here are a few that I have taken though.

Well, I have made it past the longest part of the journey. We chased the sun (or the sun chased us) the entire time. It is weird when it feels like 2am your time and it is as bright as can be outside. They have you close the shades and make it really dark in the cabin. I kept peeking though. I love watching as we fly over northern Canada, Alaska, and then Russia. It is a surreal feeling to have these places be so close but never going there.

As you can tell, I have made it to Korea very uneventfully (which is what I always want when I travel). The flight went very well. I ended up sleeping only an hour and a half maybe. I probably could have if I tried, but there were a lot of movies that I wanted to see that were available. I definitely made a movie marathon of it. I watched Confessions of a Shopaholic, Bride Wars, Bolt, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Valkyrie (only part, I fell asleep), Bedtime Stories (once again I was asleep for part), and Last Chance Harvey. Unfortunately I didn't get to finish the last one because we were landing.

I have a several hour layover in Seoul and then am off to Chiang Mai. I grabbed something to eat at Burger King no less. I tend not to eat much airline food (it makes me feel worse rather than satisfied). For those of you who were insistent about my getting up, you should be proud! I got up twice. Not a ton, but better than my normal of none! I like Korean Air. There is more leg room than in any other flight I have had over here, and they bring drinks around quite often.

Anyway, I want to save my battery for the next flight. I don't think there is as much entertainment, and I would like to stay awake as much as possible so I can sleep right when I get to my parents house. It will be about 12:30am when I arrive there. Only one more leg of the trip left!!!
The semester is officially over, and this summer has begun! I am in Atlanta waiting to take my flight out to Thailand on Thursday. Packing was surprisingly easy this past weekend. Normally I am one to run around frantically trying to make sure I have everything I need for a long trip. I spent Saturday leisurly packing and doing errands to get everything I needed to take to my mom. My roommate drove me halfway to Atlanta on Monday where my Aunt picked me up to take me the rest of the way. It is nice to have a few days to relax before I leave. The weather has been a wonderful break for me as well. I am glad to have a few gorgeous days before heading to the heat and humidity!

I can't believe that this time is already here! I am not excited about the long trip on Thursday. I leave at 12:00 pm central time from ATL and arrive at 12:30 in the morning on Saturday. It is only a 24 hour trip though, nothing compared to other trips I've had. It hit me the other day just how long it is I am going to be gone. When I get back there will be only 18 short weeks until graduation!
